UX Lead & Information Architect
Information architecture and UX for university website
a.k.a. “Navigating French Institutional Bureaucracy”

2017 / www.pantheonsorbonne.fr

Our agency was solicited by the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne to lead the first phase of the restructuring of their large website and its many associated sub-sites. Led the creation of a large-scale information architecture environment comprising the information from the original website’s >18,000 pages. Consolidated much of the redundant information and created user-tested categories and a taxonomy that the communications team and the rest of the stakeholders will put into place once the website launches. Addressed the website’s wide range of users by creating personas, analyzing the current site’s analytics, facilitating focus groups, employing card-sorting exercises and issuing surveys. Designed a responsive navigation system for the entire website, presenting fully developed wireframes to the client for their graphic design team to then align with the institution’s graphic specifications. Worked with the university’s photographer and communications team to develop a consistent visual language, and directed photoshoots around campus.

Deliverables: A book presenting the rules and guidelines for the implementation and maintenance of the new information architecture and its taxonomy, and wireframes ready to be implemented.
